PAGANEL COUNTY PRIMARY SCHOOL, Stonehouse Farm. Paganel Rd. Council Sch. opened 1938 by Birm. C.B.C. Accom. 720 JM, I. Weoley Castle Temporary Council Sch. closed when it opened. JM dept. used for Civil Defence 1939 and sch. worked half-time until 1942 when most of building restored. Name changed 1954. Accom. 1961: 13 classrooms, 2 nurseries, 2 halls.

Another street and school in Weoley Castle named after the families who owned Dudley Castle in medieval times. It used to take Pagenal four days to get to London and he owned a house at each place he stayed overnight. One of these is now know for a service area on the M1, Newport Pagnell
 
This is a photo of Paganel Road School football team in 1956, we beat Raddelbarn Road 2-0 in the final of the Kalamazoo Shield at the Birmingham Battery Sports Ground in Selly Oak, I am the captain holding the winners trophy, it would be great to see if anyone else on this forum remembers it.
