Bob,
It's Martin McGuinness here. Hopefully you remember me. I worked at H&S for some 6 years remember you, Bob Wright, Barry Clarke, Malcolm Rotherham. We played snooker a few times at some posh place in Moseley think it's a boozer now. When you have your next get together let me know please. Would be great to see you and any of the other lads.

Good evening Bob, I don't know if you remember me, I was an apprentice from 1969 in the electrical dept. How many ex apprentices are you in touch with ? as I'm a bit out of touch as I have lived in Cornwall since 1984 . I married Irene Pemberton who worked in the punch room 47 years ago and we are both eager to see who are still alive and kicking. Speak soon.
paul next meet up july 7 thurs, at the malt shovel ,barston, bob,

Hi does anybody remember my dad Arthur Hood who was foreman of the press shop I also worked there for a year in the 70s also.

No one mentions us girls in the office, we used to come in the factory sometimes to lots of wolf whistles.
Diane James

Bob,
Missed the above message, not sure how as I try & go on the site every 3 weeks or so. Presumably next meeting is a few months away now. When do you think it will be?
soon as i know i will post it up and get howkins to do the same, keep looking mac. regards bob

Thinking about what Diane James said above, there are two girls in particular I remember, Margaret Fox who worked in the Sales Office & Lesley Stephens who worked on the top floor, they certainly got a few wolf whistles from the lads on the shop floor. Nice girls, wonder what happened to them. Sometimes we'd go for a drink on Friday lunchtime in the Old Crown opposite the factory. Happy days, the world then was a different place then.

De - fogged your picture, John.

OK Bob, apologies, my mistake. You mentioned a Dave Clarke in an earlier post. There was a Dave Clarke from the H&S met lab who went to Ionic Plating in Smethwick, c1967. That's where I got to know him & we became mates. Lost touch long ago. All the best. DQ
