I'll look again at planning siteFound this reference, although not formally listed building(s) there are protections :
The Infirmary Front Range Retention: While not officially Grade II listed by Historic England, the master redevelopment plan enforced by Homes England and Birmingham City Council explicitly mandates the retention of the historic Infirmary Front Range due to its local architectural and cultural value.

Hi, sorry no, I started way after it had been demolished.hi zero would you happen to have any photos of the archway building before it was demolished or better still of the inside of it....i tried to get some but with the boarding around it was difficult and i couldnt get in..thanks again for the amazing photos

Thank you Lyn and all the other brummies for your kind words. Honestly, I'm so happy that there are fellow brummites that can view and cherish the history of Birmingham from my photo's.hi zero i can only say again that this collection of photos are amazing..i dont think i have ever seen so many taken of one building they are a credit to you and it must have taken you an age to capture them all and surely in years to come they will become of invaluable historic interest as they are now..they really need to be preserved somehow..have you ever thought of publishing them in a book..

great idea for a cover photo mark and for a book title maybe "the rise and fall of western road workhouse and infirmary" sorry zero we tend to get carried away on hereBrilliant photos - if you do write a book post #115 photo #16 would be a good cover photo - depicting the hospital "frozen in time" with dilapidation all around it - super lighting!
again stunning photos zero...photos 1 and 2 on post 115 showed a walled area on the ground..do you know what that was it looks like it holds water so maybe a pond?...you most certainly did choose the right forum to share the photos..not wishing to blow ones own trumpet but unlike other history platforms such as facebook we have dedicated threads for thousands of topics so it is easier to come back and find the threads as you should receive an email alert telling you a new post has been made on a thread you have posted on...carl chinn who as you most likely know fought hard to save the archway of tears and failed and like most of us is still very angry at its loss.. he knows about this forum and has told me its the best pro active birmingham history forum that is out there...so praise indeed.. thank you
