The little toddler wandering about out the front next door!First of 9 images that Lyn (Astoness) obtained from Carl Chinn.
i noticed the toddler lynn if you look to the left of the toddler i think i can make out an adult either standing at the top of the entry or maybe on the door step..difficult to make out..as you know in those days it was common for young children to be in the streets..something we would not allow todayThe little toddler wandering about out the front next door!

I worked in Upper Gough St in the late 60's early 70's and my word after a look at it with Street view what a change indeed . Not necessarily the best views, parts of Granville St look worse now than what it did in the 60's, plus it looks as though they are, trying to make a slum out of the area around what used to be The Gough Arms. I'm not at all impressed with the updatingthanks mike..maybe someone will be able to confirm which one it is...

It was, in my brief time there nearly all the Post Office drivers drank there after their shifts were overI agree Dion, it looked such a nice pub in its day.
Yes for the worse though I hate to sayI worked with some of those Post Office drivers, no wonder you’ve got such good memories of it!
I passed what was the Gough Arms a couple of years ago on my way to the Craven Arms. It didn’t look like that Streetview picture, perhaps it’s changed hands again.
