I found out later than mum used to buy them all on tick. She struggled. Had I known I wouldn't have asked for some of the toys, but I so loved my farm. ,

Mousetrap was another let down accidently knock the board and the cage fell down again and again. Bless your mom.

There was a bicycle shop sold fireworks but sometimes they wouldn't sell bangers or jumping jacks to boys, or younger children or if they didn't like the look of you, or your banger amount was limited. Saying that I never saw girls buying fireworks. I always got a box for my birthday from nan and Grandad. I knew what my present would be. Remember the Standard Fireworks advert . Growing up my dad always lit the Fireworks on Bonfire Night . Loved Calling All Cars and the Rockets .
 
Recently acquired some vintage Airfix kits from the 60's and 70's - shown here in what I think is chronological order:-

The girder bridge kit is famous for appearing (in one form or another) in just about every show Gerry Anderson ever made:-

Luckily most of the kits above are still available from a company called Dapol.

Also got these 2 pre-built vintage Tri-ang goods wagons:-
