Bus Conductor uniform and ID badge

Hi there,
I wonder if anyone could help in answering a question for me. I was shown a picture earlier today of my Mom wearing a uniform that my Aunty and Uncle think is a bus Conductor uniform. On the right lapel is a badge or pin DD 34511. The left side lapel has a pin also but I can't make out what it says. My Mom was born in 1933 in Birmingham England. This picture was taken in 1952.
Any help would be appreciated.

The photo I have a copy of is black and white so I don't know the colour.
My Mom would have been 19 at the time.
Any idea what DD stands for?...or where I might be able to search?
I'm guessing it's a district?
Would they have worn a particular pin on the left side too? I can't read that one at all in this picture.

My Mom never told us that she did this job.
I only knew she worked in a jewelry shop.

Given the year I'm reasonably sure she would have been a conductor. I don't think they had women drivers in the early 1950s.

There's a thread in our buses section about the first lady driver in Birmingham ...

BCT's First Lady.​


It doesn't say the year but I know the first lady driver in London was in 1974.
There were of course some lady drivers during the war.
