Who remembers these ?

I do, use to see them lots of times when I went to town in the 1960s?there were a few of them I seem to remember they used to park them at the side of Grays at night behind some high gates
 
I wonder what they were used for? not large things i wouldn't have thought.
 
I cannot see a radiator. Would they have been electric drive like milk floats ? That could account for the shoddy looking coachbuilding.
 
Harrods had the same thing as those for years and they will sell you a Elephant if you want one liz
 
That's what it looks like, i remember laundry vans looking just like that.I mean a milk float, not an elephant Alf, lol,i wonder what they were used for though.
