That's good news as I was Christened 'Tea Belly' and once drunk 8 cups in one go! Made me sick though.![]()
Do you still follow the English tradition in Belgium or has the coffee taken it's place a bit?. I love Antwerp BTW
brumgum, I think that I follow a Brum tradition and make tea that you can stand your spoon up in mixed with milk and sugar, the thought alone makes most Belgians cringe! BUT, I have converted most that have the misfortune to see me enjoying a cuppa. When my kids and grandkids come round (that's every day) the first thing they ask is for me to make them a "good cuppa" and for all of them their first words in English were "cuppa tea". As we have a fantastic range of ground coffee I really can enjoy that too.
I have two step-daughters living in Antwerp but I think that my Ghent is the best!
Graham.
I've not been to Ghent yet but have passed it at a distance near enough to see the Cathedral. Hope to get there some day!.
Good subject brumgum. I love my cuppa but only if Pete or someone else makes it for me. I am not lazy just havent got the nack. Have tried red leaf with lemon no milk and quite like it. One of our lads has a tea mug as big as a pot and it sets him off for the day and Steve always asks for a cuppa when he comes round. I used to love the cream off the top in mine. Jean.![]()
