Hi to motorman-mike
I certainly do remember Bert Weedon, he inspire a lot of the groups, he was a brilliant guitarist. Lord Rockingham, Cherry Wainer on the organ, Cliffe, Mary Wilde, the Alison Twins, Vernon Girls, "we wear short shorts!.
Certainly remember the Atlas in Stechford, use to go there with my friend Jan. We had a great time. Had to wait until we were older to go into the bar though.
Didn't they have some good groups and bands there.
Interested in the 60's get together, mind you my legs won't take the mini skirt any more, everything has gone south, but what can you expect at the age of 60! My skirts use to be so short the guys at the BSA use to guess what colour knickers I had on each day when I walked up the stairs to the office. Now I can hear you saying too much info, but it was true.
Such happy days though, and enjoyed every single minute of it.
Just going to have a Babycham!
Chris
