I know, I know it is not Birmingham but I went to the newly opened Coventry Transport Museum yesterday, and would highly recommend it,
there are bicycles from penny farthings onwards, motor cycles, some made in Brum, there was a BSA Gold Star which brought vivid memories back to me as I worked at BSA at the time this was made, I also worked at Nortons and saw some of their bikes, cars from veterans right through to the Thrust, plus a section and reconstruction of the bombings and shelters etc., in WW2. In fact there was so much to see we couldn't see it
all in one visit and will go again, and it is all free. My partner was ecstatic to see a Triumph Roadster as he owned one when he was about 20 and he was able to pull the girls in his flash car - sadly before I knew him.
