  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Birmingham Central Library 1974 - 2015

Not sure if this has been on before, but just found this postcard of the Central library in full bloom.

Just look at all of those beautiful window boxes and planters. Days when pride of how the city looked came first before cutbacks took over. Has happened all over the country sadly. Birmingham in years gone by had people who were extremely proud to work for the council but with cutbacks you can only do so much. Sign of the times.
