Yardley Wood Bus Garage 70th Birthday

Hi All.
Went to the opening of the Depot, we had to wait for our MP Steve McCabe to cut the ribbon.
Sorry for the poor pics lens got wet waiting! and poor lighting inside, I could have a poor lit pic but in focus or brighter pic but with moving people out of focus .

Thank you all very much for posting great photos of the Birthday Bash, which I hope you enjoyed. I wish I had known you would be there as I was there wearing a blue BCT dustjacket, about the only employee other than Elvis and the band not wearing a HiVis (it would have spoilt the image). Having pored over the pics I found me on the one below when I was chatting over to the right. I did meet up with John70 though.
Regards the wanderings of 3225 during the week, it was decided that passengers would not be carried after all in case any were involved in falling on the stairs or from the platform. The large notices along the sides would have to have been removed to run in service as they were only tied on and so displaying the purpose of 3225 running would have been lost.

I only managed to pop in for ten minutes just before the end, but it looked a good show - well done TWM (or is it NE-WM now? it's still BCT to me, and I'm delighted the name has been restored over the garage doors) for allowing it to happen, and to all who organised and took part.
HOV 685, the oldest double decker there (just behind the single decker in the photo above) ran all its working life at Yardley Wood garage, and today was the first time it returned after it left to be restored - 40 years ago!
Here, for the record, is that day 40 years and seven weeks ago.

motorman-mike thanks I was first up the steps after asking, pity you did not spot me, had the cap on and a full set :)
Dave

Dave,
Thank for the close up. They are already planning another bash for 2018 - will look out for you then - I hope!
