Tysley Working mens club sounds about right.Still there as I passed it last week.
When I worked at the Brit down the road I knew the stewards son,but cant remember his name. He'd been there from the mid 70s,unusual for a steward.

re tysley working mans club, hello Astonion, i was resident drummer at theclub for 7 years with Ray on the organ, Alf was the ent/esc. at the time sorry i cannt recall his surename.

Hi Astonian

We have our Reunion there every year for Lucas Shaftmoor lane

We first ran it as +25 years do there, which changed to a Reunion when the Factory in Shaftmoor Lane closed

May I say they have always done us proud

Jackie

Went passed the place the other day, doesn't seem to have changed much these last 20+ years.

hi wessex
many thanks for your feed back and for down loading the
the cracking picture of the tyseley working mans club
it had to be one of the best clubs around
and its still going strong i hope it looks kinda smart i
think but saying that it as always been the same
inside or out for years
and its good to know its still standing and holding its own
to me . any way ,
i reflect on the ward end ex, and the long bridge social
the gardners up the rock the farrinton and the calondian
they have all had the momemts and banished
i say that i think the long brige may be still going
but as i am out of brum i am not definate
i was in the postion afew years ago to know whom and what there circumstances were because of all the chairmens
of these clubs would come around to my place
about every 2 months for a financial meetings and discussions
but any way thats another subject
once again wessex for down loading the brilliant pic
which in fact i will be doing shortly if you do mot mind
have a nice day every one best wishes astonian ;;;;

Sorry I couldn't take a better pic. It's only an old Cannon digital camera, and even standing on the other side of the road you could not get all the building into the shot.
