Wolverhampton Bus Station Opens

Many thanks for the information about the opening of the Wolverhampton buis Station. I was there about a month ago and everything was behing hoardings. Good photos

It looks a very nice building and very 'user friendly' as they say in modern parlance. ;)

I thought the green bus (Green Bus of Rugeley?) pleasant in appearance; certainly much nicer than the green/yellow colours used by the former Wolverhampton Corporation fleet.

Thanks Horse for the photos they were good to see , i live in wolverhampton
but just ain`t had the time to view the new station but i do know that all the
destination numbers has gone to a single number now just like they was in
Birmingham , ie my local bus was 501 now its no 1 .
ragga :)

When WMPTE was formed way back they added 500 to the route numbers of the Wolverhampton Corporation buses. Perhaps this will lead to a rebranding as National Express Wolverhampton as they have done in Coventry.

I was surprised to see an open top Green Bus because that looked to me like the livery of the Green Bus Company who operate many school buses in Birmingham and I can't imagine school children being allowed to ride on an open topper.
