My grandparents William and Annie Hardie emigrated to NZ leaving England in ? late 1908. They had their 3 children with them john, Jessie and Cath who were 8, 10 and6 years old. William was born 17.05.1875 in Birkenhill, Elgin. Annie was born 02.01.1871 in Glasgow. I am trying to trace the boat they came to NZ on and when this was and also whether a Mathew McKay travelled with them. Many thanks.:peaceful:

Hi Judith: It's a bit tricky to track down some of the immigrants who went to New Zealand although there are web sites that you can check on. One of the problems is the fact that on some of the lists
the full names were not used and sometimes not even initials, etc. Here is a site to start with. https://nzsghamilton.co.nz/NZ.htm You can also Google..."Passenger Lists to New Zealand from England" and there are more sites. Some of the sites only lists passengers in the 18th century.

Ive managed to find them Judith, they travelled on 30th April 1908 from London to Wellington, New Zealand

ship was CORINTHIC official number 115296 Masters name was H F David. Steamship line - Shaw Savill and Albion Company Ltd. passengers on board - 404

the family are listed as Mr. W. Hardie, Mrs. Hardie, Master J Hardie, Miss C. Hardie and Miss J. Hardie

Mathew McKay doesnt seem to have travelled with them.

Good for you Shera...that you were able to find Judith's family going to New Zealand.

Thank you both for your help.
