Who remembers their dad mending their shoes

Saw a very with it girl in patent wellies in the bar by news t station last week. I thought they looked most peculiar but you would not have believed it 50years ago

I remember buying new shoes with leather soles. I would go straight to Woolies and buy some stick-on soles and stick these on before wearing my new shoes. Then when the heels had worn down a bit, it would be back to Woolies for new heel tips.

segs waaa if you stood on one in bare feet.
