Does anyone have a suggestion re: how to locate a grave site for Elizabeth Parkes? She died 29 Oct 1881 while she and husband Henry Parkes were living at Back of 124 Dudley Road, Birmingham. She was born 4 Jun 1830 at Honiton, Devon.

Any info is appreciated.

This question gets asked a lot and is difficult to answer. By 1881 most church graveyards were closed due to overcrowding. The main cemeteries would be Witton, Handsworth, Yardley, Warstone Lane and Key Hill. The latter being mostly non conformist. As you have the exact date it may be worth sending an email to these cemeteries. I see you are to far away to look at the indexes in Central Library.

Hi there sarunte44, I'm researching a Parkes family, Andrew Parkes and his family. He was born in 1841 in Bristol, in 1891 they were living in 1back of 32 Colman st. Aston B,Ham, at that time there were 3 children, Charles, John, and Susannah, Andrew was a blacksmith by trade. Just wondered if there was any connection. Regards Jackie
