This used to be a smashing little pub at one time, I was surprised to see when checking it out on Google that the building is still standing, but I don't think it's a pub any longer.
Yes it was Sherlock St & it was the Oddfellows Arms. Well done MaggieUK & Ladylinda. It seems that the ladies know the watering holes better than the gents.
Lower Essex Street,by the Kent Street baths. It was called the White Horse when we had it in the mid sixties.
The original Fox was opposite the Hippodrome on Hurst Street.
