Gone, but not forgotten.
A nice easy one to get you in the right mood. I even remember using this one myself. though not lately a 50p per gallon.

Lawley St, near Garrison Lane?

It's oil at 50p/gallon, 2* petrol is 29.2p and 3* 32p a gallon! Remember, 30p = the old 6 shillings! So 3 gallons and change from a pound!!!

Lloyd, no its not Garrison lane and yes you are of course right it's not the petrol that is 50p a gallon, but the oil. I really must get those new glasses soon.

Dave, not Deritend either.

In fact, as The Baron asked it is not in the southern half of Birmingham at all.

The information that I have with the photo says Tyburn Rd Erdington and that it was taken in 1971. So you are thev winner. Well Done

just noticed the brand of Petrol. EP, but the logo looks like BP, or is it like the old Fina logo ?

was it called English Petroleum, before it was British Petroleum ?

I know I'm late but that's me all over, the place is still there, but is no longer a Petrol Station, but as the yank's say a Car Lot, just past Charle's which used to be a builders yard.
