Three petrol-engined 1930 AEC Regent double deckers and a Guy Conquest saloon bring visitors to - what and where?
The paper sticker on the destination of the bus, and the name of the event on the building have been covered up to keep you guessing!

Edgbaston Cricket Grounds? same trouble again the bl**dy bus is in the way.

I looks as though it could be a working mans club somewhere but of course I wouldn't know much about these Phil. Jean.

I think it's the Castle Bromwich Fair site , but before the War say 1935!!, by looking at how well dressed the people are.

OK Phil and smiler, you're halfway there. Castle Bromwich it was - but what was the fair called?

As mike-g says The British Industries Fair 1954, I though I had put that, but looking back I see I put something different.

Spot-on both of you! I used to love to be taken there as a small boy, I liked to see all the machinery being demonstrated.
I've never seen that photo above before, and looking at the man in the middle of the shot with his son....I would have been 5 in 1954....I used to wear a black beret....oooer!!

Here's the original shot, as well.

When it closed as an exhibition hall Lucas were thinking of buying it as storage. My father went to survey it for safety and security. I can remember his words today. " Its the most scientifically constructed bonfire it has been my misfortune too examine " They did not use it.
