I thought I'd try an industrial theme this time, so where is this, what did they do and did you work there. To be honest I do not have a clue what they did there so this is my opportunity to learn a little.
Its a sad fact that every factory on a Hill in Birmingham though as convenient as that may have been is not in Livery St. Even taking in to account the old adage "as long as Livery Street" I don't think it would have been possible.

It is of course Hockley and it is as you state Soho Hill, but what is the name of the factory and just to please my own curiosity what did they do there. If you can't tell me it makes no difference you have done enough to win.
I am chuffed that I am right ! I used to pass this building nearly every day when I was walking to work in Hockley at an Electrical Engineers on the opposite side of the road, nearly opposite the Palladium) in 1955. Sorry, I can't tell you the name of it or what they did there, but I would like to know if someone else can tell us.
Phil, I have just found a photo of this building in a book I have. The caption below says: Sydney Griffiths, Soho Hill. Manufactueres of novelties, i.e. studs, cuff links, etc. on a large scale. So now we know - another question solved!!
Yes is is Sidney Griffiths Ltd. I have passed by this factory many hundreds of times and always remembered the name because it is the same as one of my uncles, but I have never known what they made there. Thanks to you now I do.
