Gone, but not forgotten.
Perhaps I should rename this "Where's This Café". The only difference between this and the last one is that I used this one on a regular basis 1973 - 1975. You can bet if I used it then it did good food. It is of course gone now. If I told you what now stands in its place it might give the game away. I might tell you later as a clue, if its needed.

I assume if you used this one as well, would it be on the same side of Brum.

I love the Consul, is that a Humber behind it?

Got it right it's Sandy's cafe on Stratford Rd at Hall Green opposite the Rail Station. Better known as the Cateswell Cafe. The site is now occupied by a Wickes building supply store.

Phil ,Roberts got it right Wick,s only goes up to the railway lines the cafe is on the other side. as a journey man electrician i spent a lot of time in and out of cafes now the high blood pressure put a stop to that.Dek

Yes you are right its still there as you say trading under the name of Mr G, the brain is really going into meltdown as I pass by there at least once a week and I have never noticed it. I just checked it out on Google. I must say it looks a bit tidier these days.
