Cheers Mate, recognised the location but the bread strike was a guess. I still remember the bread mom made to help get us through the strike, can't forget it, some is still stuck to the tins!
 
I remember my mom having a go at making bread when the strike was on, she got quite good at it after a few attemps.
 
Blimey Marie you've made me feel old now as I too had a go. I put the dough in the airing cupbourd to rise forgot about it and just use your imagination. Sorry Phill a bit off bread oh sorry thread. Jean.

We'll have no more buns, sorry I mean puns about bread I see poor old Mikejee was driven to distraction nearly while I was on holiday. Mind you I've never been to distraction. Is it nice there?

What ever happened to the use of the word " Piece " , We all have sandwiches now ,or worse Subs.
A point of interest is the only other people i have met that use the word " piece " ,are the Scots.

See what a mix up you have caused now. you could of at yeast forseen the knead for a measure or two of tact.

Me and the mrs , both Midlanders still use it. Piece of toast, cake, jam or bread. In the last instance it always means bread and butter. Plain bread is " Do you want some bread with it?" Some times its just " a piece ?" because you know what you are going to get.
I must add we are both as common as muck, things may be different in Solihull.
