Where is This 15

Phil

Gone, but not forgotten.
Where is this street, that is just peeking through what appears to be an old pea souper, and what can you tell me about the hardware shop.

Hi Phil
It looks a little bit like the corner of Park Rd and Whitmore street Hockley but i don't remember there being a pub there so i guess i'm way off track

Sorry nobody on the right track yet, Ragga I'm not sure where the "Flat" you refer to is located. I have something in my head telling me it was around the Sand Pits area. if that is so then your answer is no as well.

Phil

Ahhh, I used to work at GKN, so I know where this shop is. All I can tell you about the shop is that it carried a terrific stock.

Postie

If you worked at the GKN. then of course you would know the location of this road.

Three StreetS Down Heath Street On Your Left HAND Heading From Winson Green Rd
Towards The GKN , And 5OO Yards From The GKN , Mongomry Street, Either That
I Think It Begins With A W, If I Have Got TheRight GKN ,

Heath St is correct.

I think I am correct in saying that the little hardware shop eventually took over the whole corner of the street and became Jackson's Bathroom's a company that fitted most of the inside toilets and bathrooms in Birmingham Council Houses. A company owned by a Councillor Jackson.
