I'm coming to Birmingham this weekend, I have quite a few things to look up in the library and this web site has been very helpful for me to be able to do this. ( this is my first post)
but
i have several graves i would like to visit but I don't know where to go.
all i have is B'ham N. 1928 i know he lived in aston and was a councellor for washwood heath. his name was joseph alfred herrick.

also john herrick who died b'ham 1884 though he was from the kings norton area i believe. there are a few more that could be with them also.

They were congregationalist's and founder members of the band of hope.

hope you can help.

Hello Rev if they were Congregationalist they may be buried in Key Hill Cemetery as it was mainly non conformist. I will see what I can find out and get back to you.

My gt grandfather became a Congregationalist at the church on Soho Hill he was a member of the mens movement. Incidentally all his family including himself are buried at Key Hill.

The information from my friend at Key Hill Cemetery.
There is a John Douglas Herrick at section F 95, buried 4th April 1884 aged 61 years, late of 28 Balsall Heath Road. He is buried with five other Herricks: Edith May 1895, Helena Maud 1903, Mary 1891, Sarah Ann 1873, William Henry 1877. These are the only Herricks I can find at Key Hill except for John Herrick 1896, buried at S 8. He was only 10 months old and was buried in a public grave. I hope this helps.:)

thank you so much for this info, I hope to get back to you and Richard once i have done my hunting at the weekend.........hope my GGGrandfather ( John Douglas Herrick) is looking down and will help with good weather.
