G,day Digger (Luton/Oz)

Sherbourne Road is in the Acocks Green area of Birmingham.
More information would be needed to help you find knowledge of this person
and note that 1985 is still very recent so folks may be reluctant to share info about a living person !.

However if you post info re Death of your Aunt (Name +maiden name +age)Someone may know of her
then may be able to assist you further,, Cheers JohnY

Thanks for the help, JohnY. My aunt's name was Barbara Roberts nee Trevett. She died in Birmingham Hospital, Bordesley Green on 25 June 1985. She was living then at 15 Trent Road Birmingham 36 and was a retired clerk. She was born on 16 July 1916 in Small Heath Birmingham and was an only child. We have traced the earlier part of her life through records and the electoral role. She married our uncle William Henry Roberts 15 May 1937 at the Methodist Chapel Coventry Road, Small Heath and they lived in the area with her mother stepfather, Arthur Dutton and two lodgers for some time. It is after her mother died that she left her husband and home in 1956 and we lost trace of her. Her husband died in 14 November 1971 but it was his sister from Wales who had to register the death as no-one knew where Barbara was living. Is there anyone who can fill in the gaps for us?

hi digger ;
just read your thread on your request regarding the wheatley and duttons
in the fifties there was a wheatley living in st marks street ladywood which was then just called birmingham 18; i cannot recall the christian names thou ; but mostly it was a wheatly girl i recall but sadly i cannot put the christian name to her ;
on the subject of dutton ; i knew a couple of the name dutton ;whom lived in cartland rd stirchley around the time you said he died i remember a mr dutton
dieing around that period it may not be connected but i think you should ased one of our experts to check if t6he wheat;ly girl is connected or not ; if you are at a stump and do not where to look ; best of luck ; astonian;

This is the house at Grange Road Small Heath that my Aunt Barbara's family named Trevett lived in and later her mother married an Arthur Dutton. Barbara married a William Henry Roberts and they lived at this house with the family until she left in 1956 according to the electoral roll
