I don't blame you, it's wonderful! I remember the first time I saw it, on tv one Christmas... A long film, and Dad only managed half of it. Not me and Mom though, we were spellbound!! And that music...

Maurice Jarre did the music he is the father of Jean Michel Jarre another note musician
 
Collecting film is a hobby so I literally have a couple of thousand to pick and they range across the board in genre and in age. Today I watched Carry On Abroad then the last episode of season 2 The Mandalorian so I'm a bit eclectic in my viewing habits. Yesterday I was on my own so indulged in some episodes of the original Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. We are so lucky these days to have so much to choose from.

twilight zone. tales of the unexpected. ......pepe with is chippins and beans i love it:grinning:
 
We watch Channel 10 Old Sitcoms. I love anything with nature, Farms, Countryfile. People buying houses in nice places. News Satire. Good FIlms are always on too late. I like Dramas and Marple Maigret and Poirot, Sherlock Homes. 50s 60s Endeavour etc. University Challenge, Cooking if it's a competition. Strictly but I don't know who they are anymore. I like shouting at Question Time like dad used to. Partner likes documentaries on people. Our Royals. Musicians. I love Call The Midwife it started when I was born so I relate to everything in it.
 
If you've not tried Britbox its well worth £6.99 a month; there is a wealth of classic BBC & ITV shows on there. They just put up 200 classic TV shows...all sorts of stuff there to watch.
 
I`ve watched 3 films this past week. "Girl on a motorcycle" starring Marianne Faithful, the film was rubbish but Ms Faithful in the altogether made it bearable.:) "Wonder Woman 84", was very good but not as good as the first one. "Da 5 Bloods" a Spike Lee film was excellent. I will be watching the latest "Little Women" tonight though i doubt it will be as good as the original.

There have been some great live stage musicals plays on TV lately. On Channel 11. Got stuck with Jayne Eyre couldn't get in to it. I liked Cats, Phantom Of The Opera, Les Miserables, watched Billy Eliiott tonight but I didn't see the end. We call it Blelliot but we are mad. Didn't like the Wizz.
 
I am just watching every episode of 'Outside Edge' and have never laughed so much for a long time.

I first saw Brenda Blethyn in a wry pointy comedy drama opposite Dennis Lawson climbing the greasy pole and Sheila Gish. I loved her in Little Voice and Secrets and Lies again about adoption. She plays the mother years later on who never saw the child she gave away as they took it from her and the daughter who comes to find her. They love her in France to as Vaaaire a.

Alberta the only vision I have of Brenda Blethyn is in suspenders , that is after watching the Main Chance with Simon Callow . I can't visualise her now in that role when I watch her in Vera

The wife was on duty yesterday, long day shift so I indulged myself and binged on Survivors


Perfect viewing for this day and age :)
