I used to be a regular visitor and contributor to this forum until 2010, when personal circumstances made me a more occasional visitor. Now that I am back, I am saddened by the number of posts that have "gone but not forgotten" written beneath the author's avatar. And yet, they bring to mind the idea that "Every man has two deaths: when he is buried in the ground and the last time someone says his name" (E Hemingway). Exactly, every time someone reads their name and their post, it is almost as though they are still with us.
...yes the gone but not forgotten under avatars is just our way of paying respects to members who we know for certain have sadly passed away...you may have also noticed that we have a condolence thread for each member that we have lost...
