Following on from the "catch phrase" thread, I will start this one.

Ada Doom in Cold Comfort Farm: "I saw something nasty in the woodshed".
 
From Casablanca, "You know how to whistle, don't you? You just put your lips together and blow". ( Doesn`t work if you don`t put your teeth in )
 
Smudger, that quote isn't from "Casablanca", it's from "To Have And Have Not", Humphrey Bogart to Lauren Bacall. The most famous 'quote' from "Casablanca" was never actually said: "Play it again, Sam", was the title of a film by Woody Allen.

A great "Casablanca" quote is "Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!" Bogart to Claude Rains, the last line of the film.

How about, "Made it, Ma! Top of the world!" James Cagney in "White Heat", just as he was about to be incinerated

You don't necessarily need memorable lines or well-acted lines to be a good film star. The famous British film actor, John Mills (1908-2005) made over 120 films. He commented that he had learned, literally, millions of lines. However, the only film for which he was awarded an Oscar (best supporting) was for his role as Michael in Ryans Daughter in 1970. In this film set in WW1 Ireland, Michael, portrayed as a "village idiot" did not say a single word, let alone a line. John Mills himself thought that this was very ironic. Dave
 
Thanks Big Gee. The other one of the pair that sticks in my mind was where Pettigrew has been flour bombed and Edwards says 'that's a relief, you had us all thinking you'd blowed in your sherbert dab'.

Here's one we keep reciting :
