Dear Maggie,

Thank you so much for the link to the Victorian Occupations.
'Oliver Man' is indeed there as a forger of olives for sealing the joints in brass pipes.
This does fit with the metal work and foundry work history of my family.

Kind regards
Kathi

Re: Pen Makers in Brum

Hi Maggie,

My aunt was a pen maker in Birmingham in 1911 and I would love to find out more about this work and even which company she worked for. If I approach the Pen Room would they have records of employees still available do you think?
I tried the link to the Pen Room on the Main Forum(?) page but the link was broken.
I have found the index page at: https://penroom.co.uk/default.aspx

Many Thanks
