Warstone Cemetery look up - Phoebe and Matilda Hall

I’ve placed my order for PDF copy of the death certificate. This appears to be the only digital option and cost £8, delivery expected by Wed 3 Dec. I’ll report back. Thanks all for your help.
Perhaps it depends how you search but...for future reference

'Helpful' hardly describes how far you are willing to go to be...well, helpful! It is clear that I need to be much more observant in all aspects of my research. It must explain why I seem to hit brick walls! Thank you again.

I have just completed a search on GRO, carefully using the references from the Ancestry index, but the result was... no matching result found.
I did the search again with variant spellings of the surname, with the same negative result. It seems the search goes on! I think my most obvious next step is to contact Edgbaston Old Church.

Not sure what you were searching for as I thought you were waiting on that wibdsor death cert.
It may be that if that Windsor death is him, and the family had left Birmingham, he was buried at Windsor.

I was searching for the same death certificate for William Oldham. I was prepared to spend an extra £3 for an immediate result despite the £8 spent on a PDF. The good news is that I believe I will get a partial refund on the £8 as there will be no result found for that search based on the same criteria.

Hope that makes sense

Not sure why it doesn't come up when you do a search but there are gaps in GRO links.

"Hope that makes sense". Everything you have said, Janice, makes sense. I wish I could say the same for the Alice in Wonderland nature of the GRO system of searching. It is true that I didn't do exactly what you have very successfully done, but I cannot understand why one search, using the same information input, returns negative while the other search gives just what I am looking for. But this is perhaps not the place for such an examination of mine or the GROs shortcomings.
