I am trying to help my sister in law with a search for the birth and any other info on her grandfather Walter Webb who was born in Bristol in 1869. So far we have him in 1891 at the Grenadier Guards Hospital in London. The only other time we can find him is in the 1911 census, at 66 Court Road Balsall Heath. He is 42 married to Frances née Iliffe aged 26 they have two children Walter aged 2 and Winefred aged 10months. Walter married Frances in 1907 at the Congressional Chapel Moseley Road Balsall Heath, his occupation at this time was Confectioner Journeyman. Any help or information about Walter would be brilliant.

I am so sorry Bren I forgot to add Walters father was William on his marriage certificate, he is listed as deceased and occupation was Musician. We can't find Walter in 1871 or 1881.

Walter Webb has been so difficult to find. I have just found a birth registered in 1869 in a place called Clutton near Bristol. I think now we will try for a certificate and see what comes back at least we have a fathers name.
 
Kaz thanks for that it's worth investigating. Sorry I am a bit slow on the uptake at the mo I am getting over an operation.
