Do you know what the big building is in the distance in post 28 please?
 
hi pen i wondered about that large building as well but i have no idea..maybe someone who lived in that area could tell us...

lovely photo john....i have that one as well thanks for the info i thought that maybe that building was a tad too high to be a school...think you are right about it being a factory...

shame walmer rec ground is no longer there...the whole area is now industrial units and car park...such a shame..

Such a lovely park, though not much in there at the time, but at least we knew how to have lots of fun anyway. I remember (after lots of brain shaking & mixing the name up with another park), I knew it as Blews street park.
