Walking my Dog

Walking my dog Sam 16"x12" (now 14) a few months after I had bought him from Bartholomew St dogs home in 2001. It is Alcott Woods, Chelmsley Wood on a wet Autumn day, we walk there every day. This is one of just 5 of my paintings I have kept and will not part with.walking the Dog Alcott Wood.JPG

Beautiful painting Eric and what a lucky dog Sam is to be adopted by you. I would think there are a lot of paths that look just like that today after all the rain we have had lately. What are the other 4 paintings of that you will not part with? Have you already posted them on the forum?

Love the painting Eric. Sam seems to be checking that you're still there behind him. And how thoughtful that he avoided the muddy puddles! Viv,

farmhouse nr Sutton.JPGpollypops, the other 4 are (1) Gas Street Basin, (2) portrait of my late Wife, (3) a self portrait and (4) a farm just outside Sutton (Bull's Lane) the only one not shown on the Forum is the farm painted 33 years ago, so here it is

Eric is that farm building still standing, used to do a bit of work for a Mr Spooner ? Bulls Lane

That's a lovely painting Eric I can see why you don't want to part with it. Does the farm have special memories for you? Is that you and your wife on it?
I think I can remember the other ones but will have another look at them - if I can find them.

pollypops ,the 2 figures are pure imaginary to add interest, the reason I have kept it because my Wife liked it and did not want me to exhibit/sell it. Eric

Very nice painting Eric. The woods after the rain, the mud puddles and the curious dog. Perfect.

They are all wonderful but the subject picture is special. Looks like Sam is asking if you are serious about this. The walk that is; before he goes any further.

Beautiful paintings - as ever Eric. Im glad you are still able to take your lovely dog for his long walks every day
