W J Myatts Co Silversmiths - FrederickStreet

Hi all,

I’m trying to find the exact location of W & J Myatt Silversmiths in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter around 1921.

My ancestor Elsie Whittle (born 1893/94) was listed in the 1921 Census as a silver finisher working for W & J Myatt & Co., Silversmiths, and I’d love to know exactly where the workshop/building was located.

I’ve seen references to Frederick Street/Graham Street but haven’t been able to pin down the exact address.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks,
E.

Myatts in 1921 were at the Argent works, who are listed in Kellys as in Graham Street,. ,But this was on the corner of Frederick Street, as shown on the 1950s map in red.. The building has recently been renovated and can be seen below.
