Hope you can make it Aston, there are all age groups from both schools, and even people who didn't go to either but come in the hope of meeting their old friends and neighbours - and frequently do.
This will be the 25th anniversary of our very first Reunion so we are hoping it will be especially good - you can bring your wife if she would like to come with you.

Just one more in the" ASTON "Photo Album. This is the class of 1954/5, Mrs Boltons Drama Class.
Again it seem its my  younger Brother that gets in to the picture,no one seemed to have a camera when I was at Upper Thomas street, unless it was those unflattering Official School Pics. :(

Hi Aston,
Thanks for your help on how to attach a photo, I dont need to do it now as you have put the photo on of the party. I had got that one but mine was a bit worse for wear. I am 3rd from the left second row up with the big bow, my aunt Elsie is 4th lady up on the left and Malcolm my cousin is one away from you to the left.
I am going to try and get to the Barn this year, I have only been once as it always seems to be on when I am on holiday. I meet up with some good friends from years ago and am sure you will meet a few.
Looking forward to meeting you and have a good chat about old times.See if you can get David to come and I will try to get Malcolm there.

I got up early this morning and took a drive down to Aston....I went because I wanted to take a few shots of Upper Thomas Street before the grounds of the H.P are taken over by new factory units.....I was hoping to gain entry by using some waste land a the top of the old Park Road....I was wrong the ain't any waste land there...Bugger...I then decided to go up Park Lane then turn right into UTS....and take a few shots through the locked gate.....Well you could have blew me down....the gates were open. so I drove in straight up the street passed the headquarters doors of the HP, which looked like they were caged up, drove as far as I could, turned round which looked like a council yard?....parked up where the school once stood....and took a few shots.....it was the first time in almost 38 years since I stood or walked along that part of UTS....while standing where the school was I looked down at the pavement, through the weed covered tarmac..I noticed a few blue paving bricks....well being the naughty boy I am, I was able to work one lose.....its now in my garden...30 years after the school was knocked down I was able to find such a diamond....not everybodies idea of treasure.....but it is mine.....

Great escapade John. Great to get some photos and also the blue brick.
That's a good bonus for sure.

Next time you are about in Aston John:rolleyes: could you have a look in Cowper Street School and find me a Brick last time I was there in the 80s it was was what look like a couple of sheds :)
