Just started researching Turley family from Aston and would be pleased to hear from anyone with similar interest.

Harold Turley

I don't have a direct interest in researching this family but I do have a copy of a photo that I can email of Harold Turley and his band playing at the Princes Cafe in Birmingham circa 1926. They were broadcasting live on BBC radio at the time. Our interest in the photo is that my husband's grandmother was playing with the band at the time.

re Turley photo

Hi there,

Thanks for replying; I haven't had much luck with my Turley name so far.

I don't know of a Harold in my family but would appreciate it if you could send the photo in case I ever come across one!

Hi samcat.

There are simply loads of Turley's in Aston on the UK Census Collection 1841-1901 on Ancestry. Do you have any particular names in mind. By the way, I have no connection with the family myself.

Turley

Hi Barrie,

I have succeeded in finding 'Turleys' on Ancestry census collection but thanks anyway, always nice to hear from fellow researchers.
When I said I hadn't had much luck with the Turley name I meant no-one had replied to my post on the surname interest. There must be others out there researching that name!!
