Hello everyone, i'm making this post because i can't contact the company that made this radio in 1961. This radio was bought from "Stratton" (agent for Eddystone) in Birmingham back in the day.
This is the model for the radio: "Eddystone Radio Cat No: S 870A Ser No: GM3586"
The photo's indicate what the missing part is.
Initial email i wrote to Stratton / Eddystone:
"Dear sirs,
In Dec 1961, being a young Mate, I bought an Eddystone Radio, type S 870A, which was delivered to the ship
in Rotterdam -MS Hestia- by Sarnecki Bros, your Agent. It was a pleasure to listen to the radio regardless of
the ships position by the whole Midship's Gang. My Nautical carrier at sea was abt 10 years and due to circumstances
cut short, although I stayed in Naut. logistics till my retirement. The radio was used on and off and in 2014 some
repairs had to be done (condensator C34 - C44 ) had to be replaced and during this overhaul, we lost the Range selector.
knob (see photo) .
In order to correct this matter, I am looking for a replacement, 'f-i' : Amateur Radio Operators, who sometimes offer parts
for sale or others in this metier dealing in radio appliances.
I hope you could help me solving this problem
I thank you in advance.
Best personal regards.
Adriaan Los ( age 84)

If anyone can help with anything i would appreciate that very much, i thank you all in advance!
