Triangle Filling station

Hi,
Does anyone remember the Triangle filling station located at the junction of Stratford Road and Tamworth Lane in Shirley? In particularly when Ted Lloyd Jones owned the establishment, he built some cars all called "Triangle Specials". Did anyone know him? I am writing a book about the racing driver Ken Miles, he owned and raced one of Ted's specials. We are talking 1930's, 40's and 50's. Any help gratefully received, thanks.

Yes Paul it is a Shell now. I recall it as it used to be and think it went back a little further at one time. Didn't 'Archers' take it over before selling it on? I may be wrong but think that the timber yard took on some of the land but could be a false memory.

I wish I could be of help Paul but the only person who would really have known about it has long since passed away.

Yes Jukebox, I have seen that link before, quite interesting. It would be great if I could contact anyone who knew Jones or worked at the Triangle Garage back when TLJ had it. Bernard, something will turn up.
