Trevor family

MSB

knowlegable brummie
If anybody out there is researching the Trevor family's connections to Birmingham I'd be interested in comparing any early 19th Century (or even earlier) notes.

To the best of my knowledge my immediate ancestors were corn merchants or bakers, although my great-great-grandfather (b.1828) broke the mould and became a travelling conjuror and ventriloquist, before moving to Leicestershire in later life. I'm descended from his only son from his second of three marriages, but there were also quite a few daughters born with the Trevor surname in Birmingham who presumably changed their names at marriage.

The immediate family roots (according to Census and other records) appear to centre around Nechells, Aston, and Gosta Green. There is a family tradition (going back at least as far as the late 18th century) that the eldest son of each generation had David among his names - quite handy with male genealogy. If this rings any bells please let me know.
