hi folks bit of a rush job on for this one...could someone kindly remove the nasty mark on this photo and re post it in its natural colour and also in black and white...many thanks folks..

could someone have a go at this very badly damaged one please possibly beyond repair....dont know as yet the name of the pub but it was on the corner of landor st/adderley road...can almost make out the landlords name above the door

I think you mean Adderley Road and Landor St. It was the Denmark Inn

Mike: There was another pub on Landor Street called The Britannia Inn at No. 2.

I think date on the title to the photo (1902)is a bit out . Kellys for the pub lists:

1884-1899 Miss Mary Ann Crisp
1900-1905 William Crisp
1908 -1921 Thomas Jones

So date is most likely 1905-1907 as licensee is certainly not any of those

That was close to the corner with Adderley road south and not sharp on the corner.
Also the road names are the wrong way round for it to be the Britannia. See below on map c 1951

Very grainy original - not much detail to enhance 8^(

Again, not a lot of detail as the original is newsprint. I've altered the contrast and brightness and taken out some of the 'creases' on the fold. Shame it wasn't a scanned original.
