Tibbins

master brummie
I am descended from the Tibbins families who lived in Birmingham from at least 1786 when Samuel Tibbins was baptised at St Martin's in that year, son of Robert and Ann nee Tibbitts. Does anyone know where these Tibbins came from before this?

There is an extracted record of birth of Robert Tibbins baptised 1736 Aston parents Robert and Susanna.
A marriage but not verified because submitted entry of
Robert Tibbing and Susanna Kilworth in Crick Northants 1728.
Another submitted entry for Robert Tibbins b,Alvechurch 1706

Do you have Robert Tibbins marriage to Ann Tibbitts 13th October 1778
Their other children were all christened at St. Martins.

John b 3rd June 1779 Died 11 May 1788 St.Martins
Robert b 15 August 1781 St Martins
Joseph b 9th October 1783 St Martins
Thomas b 29th September 1788 St.Martins
John b 11th april 1791 St, Martins

There is a christening for Robert Tibbins 29th December 1736 St Peter & St Pauls Aston Father Robert Mother Susannah
Robert and Susannah also christened a daughter Mary Tibbins 29th January 1729 St. Peter and St Pauls Aston

The only marriage I can find for Robert Tibbins is in Crick. Northampton
Robert Tibbins to Susannah Kilworth 27 April 1728

thank you for the information, I do have the marriage of Robert and Ann and the baptisms of all their children at St Martins.

I wonder if the 1736 baptism of a Robert Tibbins at St Peter and St Paul could be my Robert, can't link them up yet.

Interesting about the marriage in Crick Northamptonshire. Quite a way from Aston but there again people did travel about in the early 18th century. I do not know what Robert's trade was his descendants worked in the metal trade, gold beaters, coppersmiths and brass founders.
