Three Salons at the seaside

This film from the 1990s about three hair salons in Blackpool is brilliant

It reminded me of Hilda's salon in Small Heath where I used to be taken as a small girl. Are there any salons like this now, with hairdryers with hoods? Such a friendly community too, everyone knowing each other.

I watched this as i live in Blackpool
i was not able to work out the locations

I watched this a year or so ago. I thought it was wonderful, and the salon it reminded me of was the one my Aunt Win went to on the Bordesley Green Road. I think it was called Sheila’s or Sylvia’s.

They always had names like that in the past! Hilda had previously had a sweet shop, but must have retrained, and re-opened as a salon.
