Thomas H Gee & Co.Ltd

Bbithell

knowlegable brummie
Hi, my relative George Henry Thomas Gee (b.1854 d. 1931) worked in the above company in 1921 and a listed as 'Employer' in the census. The probate records in 1931 listed two of his sons as recipients of a sum of money and as working for the same company (I assume).

He was the son of Thomas Gee b.1815. Does anyone know the history of the company, who set it up and when? The 1921 census shows it at 108 Bearley Street. Companies House has it being wound up in 2012 after some years of financial struggle but I suspect the Gee family had sold it well before then.
