amazing to think that this pub once stood on the site of argos at the priory queensway...to the right of the pub is coach yard now priory walk...

The Waterloo Tavern was on the corner of Lower Priory & Dalton Street and was in an area that would have more than likely been covered by the new Argos store when it was built.

I have this photo as well and to be honest it mystifies me a little, according to the map the frontage could only be seen as it is on the photo if one was walking down Lower Priory from Old Square in a downhill direction, but the photo shows it in the uphill position.
