Did any one go to the Royal British Legion club on birchfield rd perry barr.

Hi Paul, my dad used to live in Calder Tower just by the British Legion Club. That was in the mid 60's - 70's. I played darts for them, and it was a really homely little club, with great people. I had some great times in there. I now live in Sydney Australia, and since my dad died have lost touch with that era of my life.
Best Regards Mike

Hi Mike, My Mom & Dad (John & Joyce) use to run it in the 70's & early 80's i spent a lot of time growing up when i was a kid there. I went back home last year and it was sad how thing's have changed. It was not the same around brichfield rd. Anyway what was your Dad's name and when did he stop going to the club. Talk soon. Paul.

Hello Paul, my dads name was George Deakin. I cant remember when he stopped going to the club, but a guess would be mid 70's, so he would have knew your mom and dad. I emigrated to Australia in 1980, and unfortuntely my dad passed away in 1982. I cant remember many names of people who went to the club the same time as me, but a guy called Horace and his wife Jean i can remember.

Mike
