Look to the right of the door - it still has its original "Vauxhall Shunt Frame" sign!

I wonder if this is the only genuine signal box still working in the Birmingham area? Off the top of my head I cannot think of another one.......

Two fascinating posters from this website - both advertising trips to "The Great Cycling Meeting" at Aston Lower Grounds in 1894. Three years later Aston Lower Grounds would of course become Villa Park!

What a wonderful find and great photos! Brought back a lot of memories going train spotting to some of those places. Maybe more like a train ride, depending on how much money I had. As a 12 or 13 year old I used to worry about getting off the train at the wrong stop, never happened. Sorry off topic but these memories are very precious to me, more than I ever realized.
Thank you!

Well done, Mark, such interesting and diverse, stationary ,etc, must say the Season ticket 1875, seems a complicated travel,!! love the military warrants one!!, I remember traveling on one, for about 4 months, (only good, for 1 journey really,) once, till apprehended, very moth eared, the Inspector saying, you've had your money's worth here lad, and winked, and off you go !!!
