Does anyone remember the matchmaker my dad used to go there sometimes although i think it was for darts and domino matches, he used to call it the matchbox:biggrin:

hi alf yes it's a shame they are all going, although some do need to go with the trouble they cause?

I do feel sorry for the people who run them at times though, what with the smoking ban and all, i have said they need to open a little room in each pub for smokers especially the elderly when it starts getting cold but thats just my opinion :)

The Matchmaker was on The Meadway only a lighted match throw away from Sheldon Fire station very handy in case of fire!!. Now Kwikfit tyres on site. Len.
 
The Matchmaker taken sometime during its short life. It looks more like a modern church than a pub.
