Have just been reading a review of a book for the anoraks on the forum, its called The lost joy of Railways, Remembering the Golden Age of
Trainspotting, it contains evocative images from the golden age of train
spotting. You can almost smell the billowing smoke, steam and oil of the
engine sheds. The book covers all the main railway regions and reminds you of the day trainspotters could go about their business without fear of
being suspeced as terrorists on a recce. It is published by David +Charles
Books @£25.99. Bernard67Arnold
