The Globe Bromsgrove street (mid 1800's)

brumie till i die

Does anyone have any info or photos of The Globe 92 Bromsgrove street. I have found a relative lived/worked there till he died, but can't find any info about the pub.

McKenna only briefly mentions the Globe, stating that in 1855 it had a pear tree in front of it. Below is a list of known licence holders , compiled from directories and newspaper reports.

1845-49 William Homer, beer seller (also at 92 is William Homer jun, silver plater)
1855 Robert Bruce Edmonds, beer seller
1858 -61 Joseph Powell, retail brewer
1861-62 William Cartridge, retail brewer
1867-72 William Cartridge, retail brewer & farrier
1873-78 William Cartridge, retail brewer
1879-80 Mrs Maria Cartridge, beer retailer
1882-84 Walter Dackers , beer retailer
1886-88 George William Wake beer retailer (he started as a tin plate worker , later a builder, and stated at his bankruptcy in 1891 never to have been solvent )
1890 Thomas Davis beer retailer
1891 Alfred Edward Ward, beer retailer
1892 Joseph Grimley, beer retailer
1895 John Lewis, beer retailer
1896-97 George William Wake, beer retailer
1899 Mrs Phoebe Anne Acton, fried fish shop

Below is a map c 1889 on which the building which I think was no 92 is marked in red. It was certainly either that or the ones either side.
